At children’s day care centers, the outdoors is often the last element of a new building where money and time is spent on. HOUTMAN+SANDER made a plan for a location close to its own office: the often stony outdoors becomes greener and offers the kids more opportunities to play.
Because of this plan, Kanteel asked HOUTMAN+SANDER to make restructuring plans for two more of their locations.
“More green and therefore, more playing opportunities”
With minimal financial means, a great result was achieved: existing materials were used again en current trees were fit into the new design. Everything was designed in such a way that the different spots could in time get other structurings or looks.
