The Mumbai City Museum has organized a competition in 2014 for the expansion of the museum in connection with the existing museum garden, the zoo and the botanical garden.

HOUTMAN+SANDER together with OMA Hong Kong made a plan whereby the existing values of the landscape are respected as much as possible and new outdoor spaces for the museum are added. The entrance of the zoo will also be improved. The draft ended in the last eight of a total of 104 international teams.
