The Market is Boxtel’s heart. The municipality is investigating the possibility of a large parking space outside the city centre and making the market square a car free zone. Together with De Twee Snoeken architects, HOUTMAN+SANDER made the design.

“A new strip of trees connects the town hall to a special place to stay at the square”

This design consists of a simple carpet of clinkers. Their patterns and colour nuances give it a refined look. The current trees on terraces will stay and a new strip of trees will be added. This will connect the town hall with a special place to stay at the square. In the pavement, in a subtle way the road is marked. This way, during specific hours, through traffic and/or transport is possible on the square.
