Dieren station area

A busy provincial road with local and through traffic cuts right through the village of Dieren. Because of the vulnerable landscapes on the north and south side, it’s not possible to send the traffic around the village. Because of this, the current (through) road will be partly led through a tunnel. This separates the road from the local traffic. The changes planned here also have an impact on Dieren’s centrally located station area.

The municipality of Rheden asked HOUTMAN+SANDER to make a design for the station area. For the province of Gelderland, a design manual for implementing the underpass in the landscape was made. During the next phase, HOUTMAN+SANDER will elaborate on parts of this area or manage the realization of existing plans.
