Theresialaan
Schoonveld is a characteristic quarter of Vught, with buildings from before and just after the war. The most part of the sewer system needs to be replaced and because of this, there is also need for a restructuring aboveground.
“A coherent view of architecture and street reconstruction”
Together with Civil Support and groups of residents, HOUTMAN+SANDER made a restructuring plan for this quarter. The sustainably baked clinkers were used again, on the pavement combined with concrete tiles. Streets and lanes were carefully molded and detailed. Also, the use of materials was considered on every street. This way, the restructuring doesn’t give this quarter a plain look, but a coherent view of street structuring and architecture.
