On the location of former soccer complex Achilles Veen, a quarter of 23 houses, all on waterfront plots, is being developed. Because of the water level fluctuation of more than 3 meters in this outer dike area, especially the transition from a house to the water is crucial.

Part of the concept for this urban plan is a strictly directed plan for all landscape transitions between plots and from private plots to (semi) public space in this area. The landscape connects with beautiful scenic areas along the dammed up Maas river and a recently developed recreational beach. HOUTMAN+SANDER is still involved in the development of these plots and residential area.
